CO2 Laser/Solea
What Is Solea Laser Dentistry?
At King Endodontics, we are proud to be able to work with the latest and most advanced dental technology to treat each dental issue, while bringing comfort and safety to our patients. One of the most advanced and precise technology tools that we utilize at our practice is the Solea laser. This is a CO2 dental laser that precisely, effectively, and virtually painlessly treats several different types of dental and oral issues within the mouth. The Solea laser is FDA-approved to help treat oral tissue problems, without the use of drills and/or needles.
Some of the common dental procedures that Dr. Brett Gilbert could utilize the Solea laser in include the following:
- Frenal attachments
- Cavity fillings and removal of old fillings
- Crown placementÂ
- Ulcer treatment
- Deep cleaning of the gums
- Oral surgery involving the gums and/or bones
- Etc.
How Does Solea Laser Work?
This innovative laser essentially vaporizes the targeted tissue using a wavelength of light that delivers thousands of pulses per second. Because of the preciseness of this laser, there is virtually no pain for the patient.
The Benefits of the Solea Laser Over Traditional Methods
Unlike traditional methods of dental procedures, the Solea laser eliminates any use of drills, needles and stitches. In addition, there is no need for anesthesia prior to the procedure, so there is no numbness or loss of sensation for the patient. Because of the quick effectiveness of this laser, there are fewer visits required for your specific procedure. The Solea laser provides a much more comfortable experience for our patients–eliminating pain, numbness and discomfort that usually accompanies traditional dental procedures. No other dental laser compares to the sophistication and efficiency of the Solea laser.
